WEST DES MOINES — The Ottumwa boys swim team competed at its district meet at West Des Moines Valley on Saturday.

Ottumwa junior Travis Schombert placed fifth in the butterfly (58.34). Nick Shepperd placed 11th in the same event.
Tyler Bennett placed 10th in the 100 freestyle (54.2) and he also finished 12th in the 50 free.
Tim Michaels wound up 12th in the 200 freestyle and Antti Korri engineered a 11th-place finish in the 200 individual medley. Seth Vander Horst finished 12th in the 200 IM.
