Warrior linksters ranked third to open season

OTTUMWA — Two-time defending national champion Indian Hills will start the spring golf season ranked third in the Golf World/Nike Golf Coaches’ Poll.

The Warriors trail Odessa (Texas), a unanimous No. 1, and Central Alabama in the NJCAA Division I ratings. Odessa has already played in two meets this spring so it has a head start on Indian Hills, which doesn’t open its schedule until taking part in the UST Mamiya Texas Intercollegiate. March 11-12, in Fort Worth, Texas.

The poll combines the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America.
