ELDON — Jerald Harter current squad got all they could handle from his former squad on Tuesday night. In the end, however, Cardinal gave Harter a win over his former team as the Comets bounced from a game-one loss to beat Moravia in four games, winning 22-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-22.
“We didn’t play really well in any game, but we made enough plays to come out on top,” Harter, who coached the Mohawks volleyball team before coming to Cardinal, said. “Lindsay (Moore’s) hitting and Delaney (Ridgway’s) play in the middle really made a difference for us.”
“Leea (Ostrander) also did a great job finishing off the match with a pair of aces.”
Cardinal (1-1, 0-1) will look to get a Southeast Iowa Superconference South win Thursday at MSAE while Moravia (1-2, 1-0) returns to Bluegrass play at home against Melcher-Dallas.
