Time and Place: Boys play Hoover at 7:45 p.m. and the girls play the Huskies at 6:15 p.m. at Evans Middle School.
Records: The Ottumwa boys are 0-4 and 0-1 in CIML Conference Metro play. Hoover is 3-1 and 1-1 in the Metro conference. The Ottumwa girls are 2-4 overall, 1-0 in CIML Metro Conference play. Hoover also is 2-4 and 1-2 in Metro conference play.
Burns dominates inside: Carter Burns (pictured) has become Ottumwa’s number one option on offense. The 6-foot-6 big man’s impressive skills were on display Saturday, when he scored 17 first-half points against Fort Madison.
Bulldogs shoot for three straight wins: The Bulldogs will try to extend their win streak to three games after picking up a thrilling 32-31 overtime victory over Fort Madison Saturday, highlighted by a game-tying 3-pointer hit by Olivia Roark (pictured) with six seconds left in the fourth quarter.
Girls head coach Kevin Patterson says: “We have take away their inside game. We’ve got to protect the lane and the basket tomorrow.”
Boys head coach Chris Gravett: “We have to really compete every possession offensively and defensively. We have compete harder than we have ever competed.”
