ALBIA — The Albia girls basketball team dropped to 2-3 overall on the season with a 47-45 loss to Fairfield on Tuesday night.
Brooke Bettis scored 23 points for Albia while Cassie Crall added 10.
Fairfield is now 2-2 on the season. Albia will host Chariton Friday night.

KEOSAUQUA — Van Buren’s Hannah Haynes scored 19 points, grabbed 20 rebounds and swatted six shots in the Warriors’ 40-31 victory over Danville Tuesday.
Van Buren was able to get the win despite Danville’s Lindsay Schaffer scoring a game-high 25 points.
Payten Hughes scored nine points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Van Buren.
The Warriors (3-0) will play West Burlington Friday in Keosauqua.
