OTTUMWA —
Time and Place: 7 p.m. tonight at the Hellyer Student Life Center in Ottumwa.
Broadcast Info: The game will be carried live on KMGO radio (98.7 FM) and on the Internet at www.kmgo.com.
Records: Eighth-ranked Indian Hills is 21-2 overall, 4-0 in Region XI play. Moberly is 18-4 and 3-1 in Region XVI.
High-scoring battle: Both Moberly and IHCC have had success this season putting plenty of points on the scoreboard. The Warriors are still the highest scoring team in NJCAA Division I, averaging 101.4 points per game, while Moberly leads Region XVI with a 90.5 ppg average.
Long-awaited walk-off winner: Saturday’s dramatic win for the Warriors at Marshalltown was the first game won by IHCC at the buzzer since January 2006. The 3-pointer hit by Ronald Ross to avoid overtime in the Warriors’ 80-77 over the Tigers Saturday was the first buzzer-beating shot hit by a Warrior since another sophomore transfer, Jamaal Smith, hit a running 3-pointer to give Indian Hills a 73-72 win over Iowa Western in their 2006 regional opener at the Hellyer Student Life Center.
Coach Peery says: “(Moberly’s) going to be coming in to give us a real game. That’s what we want are real games to make us tougher, but we’re going to turn it around quick.”
