EDDYVILLE —
The Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont boys basketball team celebrated its Senior Night by trouncing South Central Conference opponent Davis County 92-71 Thursday in the last game of both teams’ regular season.
Rocket Christian Bambrook had a stupendous game as he poured in a game-high 30 points, grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds and recorded eight blocks.
“He’s really taken his offensive game to another level in the last five games,” E-B-F coach Travis Stout said.
The Rockets final offensive also was sparked by a 19-point scoring effort by Jevin Jensen and 17 points from Trevor Leffler, who also corralled 11 rebounds and dished out a team-high seven assists.
“It was really nice to see them have success at the game where we were honoring them,” Stout said.
Park Mikels spearheaded the Mustang offense with 24 points and Calvin Utt added 13. Colton Roberts and Jacob Jones compiled eight points each.
The two teams will face off again on Monday in the first round of the Class 2A District 12 tournament, but this time E-B-F (12-10, 5-7) will travel to Bloomfield to face Davis County (10-11).
“Coach Graves will have those guys ready to go,” Stout said. “We expect a completely different team.”
