Ottumwa basketball games rescheduled

OTTUMWA — The Ottumwa boys and girls basketball games at Des Moines High East High School that were originally supposed to take place Tuesday, but were canceled because of the winter storm that blanketed southeast Iowa Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, have been rescheduled.

The Ottumwa varsity girls team will play the third-ranked (5A) Scarlets tonight in Des Moines at 7:30 p.m. The OHS boys will play at Des Moines East on Monday, Feb. 11.

Both rescheduled games will be tripleheaders featuring matchups between the two teams ninth-grade, junior varsity and varsity squads. Today’s girls games begin with the ninth-grade game at 4:30 p.m. followed by the JV contest at 6 p.m. and the varsity game at approximately 7:30 p.m. Those same times will be followed for the Ottumwa-Des Moines East boys games on Feb. 11.
