OTTUMWA —
The Ottumwa volleyball team beat Mount Pleasant 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-23) in a road match Thursday.
Senior middle hitter Katie Sammons capped off an impressive week on the hardwood with 20 kills against the Panthers. Coach Jessica Carson said the Bulldog middle hitter carried her team for some of the match.
Senior setter Beth Overturf led the Bulldogs with 18 assists and sophomore setter Chloe Davis added 14 assists. In addition, senior libero Olivia Roark was 13-13 on serves and Davis was 15-16. Roark, as has been her habit, also led the Bulldogs in digs with 17.
The Bulldogs play Tuesday at Indianola.
“Basically we just need to take this game and move forward and be ready for Indianola on Tuesday,” Carson said.
