OTTUMWA —
Maxine I. Huffman, 94, of Ottumwa, died December 4, 2012.
She was born October 25, 1918 in Oskaloosa to Charles Leonard and Jessie Perrick Hoerlein. She married William C. “Bill” Huffman on May 16, 1953. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1989.
Maxine had worked in the fabric department at Graham’s Department store in Ottumwa.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ottumwa, King’s Daughters, P.E.O Chapter HQ, and Order of Eastern Star in Oskaloosa.
Surviving are three daughters, Marie (Greg) Street of Jackson, TN, Martha (Dick) Funk of Denver, CO and Mary (Jay) Bullock of Windermere, FL; five grandchildren, Savannah Street, Elizabeth Funk, Joe, Jessica and Taylor Bullock.
Her body has been cremated.
Graveside services and inurnment will be 3 p.m. Friday in Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa with Rev. David Klanderman officiating. Visitation with the family present will be 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society, P.O. Box 1149, Ottumwa, IA 52501 or First Presbyterian Church in Ottumwa.
