OTTUMWA —
John Luff Williams, 75, of Ottumwa, passed away January 23, 2013 at the Ridgewood Nursing and Rehab Center.
John was a long time resident of Ottumwa. He graduated from Ottumwa High School and Graceland University where he majored in theology and organ. He did graduate work at Northwestern University. John served in the military. Upon returning to Ottumwa, he was employed at John Morrell & Co. for ten years. For more than two decades he was the organist and music director at the Christian Science Church.
He is survived by his brother Charles and sister-in-law, Pat, of Davenport. He has one nephew, Dr. James (Lisa) Williams of Wauseon, OH; two nieces, Julie (Chris) Kreagor of Austin, TX and Dr. Pam (Phil) Rupprecht of Tempe, AZ.
His parents, William and Alice Williams preceded him in death.
His body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the Hospice group and the staff at Ridgewood for their caring and concern.
