GALESBURG, Ill. —
Jack A. Stolte, 76, of Galesburg, Ill., passed away at 1:03 a.m. Dec. 29, 2012, at the Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born Aug. 26, 1936, in Hannibal, Mo., the son of Ralph and Dorothy (Palmer) Stolte. Jack married Jeanette Gates Feb. 23, 1981, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Jack worked for Burlington Northern Railroad and BCZ as a railroad designer. He was a member of Soangetaha Country Club.
He is survived by his wife; five children, Geri (Jim) Powers, Tony Stolte, Jackie (Nick) Puente, Dana (Janine) Stolte and Brian (Joelle) Stolte; four stepchildren, Jody (Rick Long) Gates, James (Bonnie) Gates, Jill (Gary) Lutz and Jon (Courtney Hiner) Gates; 23 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Palmer Stolte; and a sister, Barbara (Jerry) Akright.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and services will be at a later date.
