CHILLICOTHE —
Cynthia Sue “Cyndi” Benedict, 57, of 112 4th St., died at 8:40 p.m. December 25, 2012 at the home of her parents in Ottumwa.
She was born May 31, 1955 in Ottumwa to Alex and Naomi Hill LeGrande. She married Timothy Benedict on September 4, 2007.
Cyndi had worked at Everco, Hormel and Excel. She was an artist, enjoying painting and crafts.
Surviving is her husband, Tim; a daughter, Natika Dawn Shewry of Bremerton, WA; her parents, Alex and Naomi LeGrande of Ottumwa; two sisters, Deborah (Jim) Wilson of Blakesburg and Pamela (Dan) Hoffman of Fremont, NE; a brother, Phil (Amanda) LeGrande of Agency.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene and Annette Benedict.
Her body has been cremated.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Elks Lodge, 413 S. Iowa Ave., Ottumwa.
Memorials may be made to Hospice serving Wapello and Davis Counties, 927 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Ottumwa, IA 52501.
