OTTUMWA —
Shirley Jean Irwin of Swan, formerly of Ottumwa, passed away Aug. 16, 2012, at the Taylor House in Des Moines.
Shirley was born and raised in Ottumwa. She lived in Spring Valley, Ill., for 13 years and has been in Swan since 2000.
Shirley was a nurse at Ottumwa Regional Hospital for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Bill of Swan; sons, Ron Neal of Melcher Dallas and Gary Neal of Saylorville Township; stepsons, Randy Irwin of Idaho and Rodney Irwin of Hedrick; daughter, Deborah Devor of Minnesota; stepdaughters Cindy Irwin of Ottumwa and Terri Hanson of Estherville; one brother, Ed Swope; 18 grandchildren and more than 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lowman Cemetery in Runnells.
