Wanda Fern Brewington, 91, of Fairfield, passed away Dec. 15, 2012, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.
Wanda Fern Brewington was born May 21, 1921, in Rubio to Oscar Leonard and Carrie Evedora Gonder Mourer. She married George Frederick Brewington on Nov. 30, 1936, in Agency. He died on June 16, 1980.
Wanda was a lifelong resident of the Batavia area. Her hobbies and interest included being a housewife, gardening and raising flowers. She sold both Tupperware and Stanley products and loved quilting.
Wanda is survived by six children, Arlene L. Davison of Batavia, G. Joan (Earl) Barnett of Kings Cove, Alaska, John E. Brewington of Batavia, Kenneth A. (Gaylin) Brewington of Merrill, Wis., Richard A. (Becky) Brewington of Walcott and Alice M. (Chuck) Brewington Dyer of Hemiston, Ore.; one brother, Boyd Mourer of Agency; one sister, Thelma Ames of Menifee, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Rex Boyd Brewington; one daughter, Ruth Ann Brewington; four sisters, Donna Mourer and Mirthel Mourer, Alice Keltch and Jeannette Courtney; and one brother, Willard Mourer.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Calvary Baptist Church in Batavia; with Pastor Dave Albert officiating. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.
