AGENCY — Brian Kendall Tate, 57, of 8583 Fox Hills Road, died on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at his home.

He was born on Aug. 21, 1955 in Webster City to William J. “Bill” and Mary Lou Hoeppner Tate.

A graduate of Eagle Grove High School, he served in the U.S. Army, having been stationed in Germany. Brian was a resident of Agency since 1982. He loved spending time outdoors and helping others.

Surviving are his mother, Mary Lou Tate, of Agency; two brothers, Chris (Sue) Tate, of Humbolt, and Kreg Tate, of Agency; a sister, Cheri (Terry) Lyons, of Eldon; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and a good friend, Buzz Ryan of Boone.

He was preceded in death by his father.

His body has been cremated.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home; with Father Patrick Hilgendorf officiating.

Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery with military services conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion.
