OTTUMWA —
Madolyn Fears, 86, of Davenport, formerly of Ottumwa, went home to be with the Lord on September 27, 2012 at Bickford Cottage of Davenport.
She was born March 1, 1926 in Trenton, MO to John and Cordia Endicott McAtee. She married Ennis Fears on September 12, 1942. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2007.
Madolyn and Ennis moved to Ottumwa in 1951. She worked at the Corn Picker Restaurant and for Frito Lay (Guy’s Food) until her retirement.
She was a member of The Church at Fourth and Washington, and the Good Sam Club.
Surviving are her two sons, Gary Fears of Maysville, IA and Randy Fears of Bartlett, TN; a daughter, Patricia Simmer of Brandon, FL; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Zander and Mildred Cornwell.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Spencer and Wilma Fears.
Her body has been cremated and inurnment will take place at a later date.
Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
