BLOOMFIELD —
Anna Mae Lippert, 79, of Ottumwa, formerly of Bloomfield, died Oct. 20, 2012, at her home.
She was born Dec. 1, 1932, in Davis County to Howard Irvin and Mamie Slonaker Veatch. She married Dwayne P. Lippert on May 6, 1955, in Bloomfield. He preceded her in death April 2, 1998. She was a homemaker. Anna Mae was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Kirksville, Mo., and taught Sunday School for several years. She, along with her husband, Dwayne, founded the Albia Baptist Temple in Albia. She was an excellent seamstress who enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and living in the country outside of Kirksville.
She is survived by two sons, Brian Lippert of Pasadena, Md., and Jon Lippert of Chapmansboro, Tenn.; two daughters, Lorie Davis of Ottumwa and Cristi O’Briant of Hot Springs, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and two brothers, Norman Veatch of Mitchellville and Howard Olin of Tulsa, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Don Veatch.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield; with Pastor Aaron Rodgerson officiating. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. on Thursday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials have been established to Southside Baptist Church in Kirksville and to Hospice of Wapello and Davis Counties.
