BLOOMFIELD —
Martha L. Blair, 96, of Bloomfield, formerly of Cantril, died Nov. 9, 2012, at the Bloomfield Care Center.
She was born Aug. 7, 1916, south of Bloomfield to Will and Stella Peden Beggs. She married Everett J. Blair Aug. 6, 1939, in Bloomfield. He died Febr. 8, 1988.
Martha graduated from Bloomfield High School. She and her husband farmed near Fairfield and many years south of Cantril until retiring to town. They spent several winters in Arizona. She was a member of Milton Christian Church and the Happy Hour Club in rural Cantril.
Surviving are a son, James (Alta) Blair of Burlington.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ralph Beggs and Russell Fiedler; and two sisters, Bernice Grim and Helen Aeschliman.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua; with Kevin Mote, minister officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril.
Visitation will open at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the family present one hour prior to the service.
Memorials to Milton Christian Church, Maple Grove Cemetery or Bloomfield Care Center, and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 610 Walnut St., Burlington, Iowa 52601.
