OTTUMWA —
Wilbur Dean Livingston, 78, of Ottumwa, went home to his Lord and Savior at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 25, 2012.
He was born Oct. 2, 1934, in Bunch to William and Clara Belle Hickinbotham Livingston. He married Kay Sleeth Jan. 5, 1954, in Drakesville.
Wilbur worked for John Deere in Ottumwa for 25 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Last Days Ministries in Ottumwa and UAW #74. Wilbur enjoyed hunting, horses, dogs, tractors, being at the farm, and, most of all, his family.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Gary Livingston of Ottumwa; two daughters, Rhonda (Tom) Vandenberg of Leighton and Joy Livingston of Ottumwa; seven grandchildren, Doug (Theresa) Livingston, James (Ashley) Olinger, Roxanne (Doug) Anderson, Stanley (Naiden) Livingston, Cara Livingston, Sarah Vandenberg and Becky Vandenberg; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Wayne Livingston of Estherville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Harold, Estel, Vern, Robert Paul and Harvey Livingston; and eight sisters, Mildred Rominger, Edna Smith, Opal Peek, Edith Hopkins, Elma Veatch, Erma Blankenship, M. Doris Elgin and LaVelle Howell.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield; with Rev. Garry Shepherd officiating. Burial will be at the Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday with the family present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Care Initiatives Hospice and Last Days Ministries.
