OTTUMWA —
Leland J. Sanders, 37, of 2217 E. Main St., died at 5:05 a.m. October 19, 2012 at Serenity House in Oskaloosa.
He was born July 21, 1975 in Ottumwa to James and Anita Carmon King Sanders.
Leland worked at Al-Jon. He was a member of Riverview Church. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with nieces and nephews.
Surviving is his father, Jim Sanders of Ottumwa; a sister, Chrystal (Gene) Duncan of Ottumwa; a brother, Millard (his special friend, Sheila) Sanders of Ottumwa; along with nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Gundlach-Sanders.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Hornback officiating. Burial will be in the Blakesburg Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. today with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the family.
