RICHLAND —
Marilyn Elizabeth Heroux, 74, of Valrico, FL, formerly of Richland, died February 25, 2013 at Valrico, FL.
She was born April 4, 1938 in Ottumwa to John Elmer and Mary Mildred Goughnour Mahaffey. She married Paul Joseph Heroux on June 11, 1976.
She was a resident of Richland until 1970, then moved to the east coast and then to Florida in 1995. Marilyn was a 1956 graduate of Agency High School and had worked 28 years for Sears and Roebuck, retiring in 1993.
Marilyn was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Brandon, FL and was also a past member of Hudson Lions in Hudson, NH.
Surviving is her husband Paul; a son, Roger (Nancy) Holmes of Albany, NH; a daughter, Cindy Wemer of Grinnell; three grandchildren, Tracy Lynn Holmes of Albany, NH, Jared (Emily) Bowersox of Milton, and Amanda Wemer of Ottumwa; three great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Giselle, and Houston Aguilar; two brothers, George (Gwen) Mahaffey of Agency and John (Sharon) Mahaffey of Kirkville; two sisters, Frances Danielson of Douds and Janet Wineland of Eddyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Fred Mahaffey; and a sister Mary Louise Harris.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Jena Manchester officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in Kirkville.
Visitation will begin 11 a.m. Friday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
