BLOOMFIELD —
Kory D. Bragg, 42, of Harvey, formerly of Bloomfield, beloved husband, father, son, brother and uncle, entered into eternal rest at 4:59 a.m. on February 25, 2013 at Sanford Health Center in Fargo, ND.
Kory was born October 6, 1970 in Bloomfield, the youngest child of Gerald R. and Susie M. Holt Bragg, he was cherished by his parents. He was a 1989 graduate of Davis County High School. On December 29, 2010, he married Theresa VanDyne, having been together since 1995.
Kory worked for Wanzek Construction for the past 10 years. He began his career with them as a crane operator and currently was a Nationally Certified Crane Inspector. He was well loved and so respected by his fellow employees. They said he could operate any crane, anywhere, anytime and do it to perfection.
Kory is survived by his wife, Theresa Bragg, of Harvey; daughters, Charlie Bragg at home, Michelle (Tim) Beyer of Harvey, Felicia (Darren) Hill of Albia; a son, Jonathan (Aimee) Jackson of Ottumwa; grandchildren, Trevor Minard, Jenna Beyer, McKenna and Cameron Beyer, Micheala Clark, Addison Hill, Kylie, Breyanna and Casey Hill; his parents, Gerald (Mary) Bragg, Susie (Clinton) Hutchings all of Bloomfield; his siblings, Kelly (Sherry) Bragg of Ottumwa, Kim (John) Dodson of Ottumwa, Roy (Carmen) Glosser of Pulaski, Jeff (Greta) Glosser of Ninilchik, AK, Marcy Glosser (Rod Johnson) of Pulaski; nieces, Brittney Silvers, Emily Bragg, Hannah Hertz, Stephanie Dodson, Amanda Dodson, Daly Dodson, Jill Dodson, Callie Glosser; nephews, Alex Dodson, and Dakota Glosser; many great-nieces and nephews. He was Uncle KoKo to them and they treasured him. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Jenny Collins of Centerville, numerous aunts and uncles, Pam Holt of Minnesota, Sara (Dick) Downing and Sandra (Russell) Gibson all of Missouri and James (Janet) Bragg of Ottumwa, and a childhood friend, Jimmy Ball, whose friendship Kory treasured.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Irvin and Beulah Bragg, H.V. Curly and Marie Holt; an uncle, Joe D. Bragg; and father-in-law, Bill Carter.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Skinner officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Bloomfield at a later date.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Monday with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Memorials may be made to the family to be used for his daughter, Charlie’s education.
