LOVILIA —
Velma Maxine Stone White, 97, currently residing at Monroe Care Center in Albia, passed away Feb. 1, 2013, at Monroe County Hospital in Albia under the care of Monroe County Hospice.
She was born Oct. 21, 1915, in Marion to Floyd and Etta (Dixon) Stone. She married Phillip H. White from Hiteman on Dec. 13, 1958. After retirement, they moved to Lovilia.
She is survived by her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phil; and three children, George Malik, Jim Osborne and Tom Osborne.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Osborn Cemetery near Lovilia; with Pastor Rick Smith officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lovilia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Marion County Humane Society or Heartland Humane Society of Ottumwa.
