OSKALOOSA —
Lois M. Tutor, 71, of Galesburg, Ill. and formerly of Oskaloosa, died at 7:46 a.m. Feb. 1, 2013, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.
She was born Jan. 14, 1942, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Samuel Jay and Mary Imogene Feeback Davis. She married Paul L. Tutor April 25, 1959, in Oskaloosa. He preceded her in death Dec. 1, 1997.
Lois was raised and educated in Iowa, graduating from Eddyville High School. Prior to moving to Galesburg, she worked for Edd the Florist in Ottumwa. Lois enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and playing penny slot machines and video gambling machines. She was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan.
She is survived by three children, Cindy (Sam) Painter-Rescinito of Galesburg, Ill., Dwayne Tutor of Canon City, Colo., and Roberta (Kevin) Kenney, of Lebanon, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, Joshua Painter, Leah Painter, Heather (Nate) Barker, Kelby Rescinito, Alyssa Rescinito, Tara (Eric) Empson, Jeremiah (Michelle) Tutor, Timothy Tutor, Chris Kenney and Michael Kenney; nine great-grandchildren with a 10th coming soon; a brother, R. Claude (Martha) Davis of Catawba, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Colleen Davis of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel in Galesburg, Ill.; with Pastor Nona Carroll officiating. Burial will be in Silent Home Cemetery in Cameron, Ill.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
