OTTUMWA —
Sally M. Fite, 73, of 1316 E. Mary St. died at 12:01 a.m. January 12, 2013 at the Hospice House in Ottumwa.
She was born July 22, 1939 in Ottumwa to Clarence and Doris Warnock Stober.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1957, she earned her CNA at Indian Hills Community College. She worked many years at Easter’s Super Value, and then went into home health care with SIEDA, Wapello County Public Health and finally, Iowa Medicaid Enterprises.
Surviving are three children, Chuck (Pami) Fite of Kansas City, MO, Lori Utoft of Ottumwa and Todd (Susan) Fite of Agency; two grandchildren, Shelby Ash of Los Angeles, CA and Collin Culver of Ottumwa; a close friend, Sharon Jones of Ottumwa and her two cats Sissy & Baby.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Scott Allen Fite.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Palmer officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.
