OTTUMWA —
Mary Elizabeth Yenger, 91, of Ottumwa, died October 5, 2012 at her home.
She was born December 26, 1920 in Jefferson County, Iowa to John and Agnes Pacha Kosman. She married Harold Yenger in 1942. He preceded her in death in 1977. She married Clarance Foudree in 1987. He preceded her in death in 1994.
She was a bookkeeper at Green Cottage Grocery, Ray’s Foodland and South HyVee a total 38 years, retiring in 1982.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Connie Jo Bowden and Linda (Steven) Overby, both of Ottumwa; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Jeff) Lanum of Bettendorf, John (Lisa) Bowden of Bentonville, AR, Christopher Dennis of Ottumwa and Jennifer (Camilla) Dennis of Parkersburg, WV; three great grandchildren, Lauren Lanum, Claire Bowden and Annabelle Bowden; her dog, Katie, who was her constant companion and a lifelong friend, Pat Walker of Mt. Pleasant.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Ann Yenger.
Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Patrick Hilgendorf officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. today at Reece Funeral Home. A Christian Wake service will be at 5 p.m. at the funeral home followed by the family present until 7 p.m.
