OTTUMWA —
Dakotah Alan Blaen Kopp Francis, 20, of 249 S. Willard St. died at 7:06 p.m. March 1, 2013 at his home surrounded by many family members and friends.
He was born January 23, 1993 in Ottumwa to Tera Cunningham and Tony Ray Kopp. He was later adopted by Travis Francis.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 2012, Dakota enjoyed playing video games, especially World of Warcraft. He also enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, hunting, fishing, attending family picnics and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his parents, Tera (Carey) Cunningham Erbst of Ottumwa, Tony (Melissa) Kopp of Agency and Travis Francis of Ottumwa; grandparents, Arthur (Sandra) Cunningham of Des Moines, Marilyn “Molly” (Robert) Barnett of Ottumwa, Linda Erbst of Ottumwa, Linda (Tony) Gatlin of Ottumwa and Tom and Cathy Francis of Ottumwa; brothers and sisters, Macaulay, Steven and Brekkin Francis, Coral, Erin, Dylan and Elizabeth Kopp, Isaiah Erbst, Elijah Leahy and Malea Flack along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and his best friend, Will Jones.
Funeral services and celebration of life ceremony will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Ammy Dennison officiating. His body will be cremated after the service.
Visitation will be open after 10 a.m. Friday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
