ALBIA —
Loweta B. Glenn, 96, of Albia, died Sept. 30, 2012, at Monroe Care Center in Albia.
She was born on June 17, 1916, in Livonia, Mo., to Noah and Pearl (Bringman) McFarland.
She married Perry Glenn on July 3, 1933, and they were blessed with five children, Dick, Chuck, Terry, Wayne and Ed. She worked at the Monroe County Hospital in the kitchen. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the VFW Auxiliary in Albia.
She is survived by her children, Terry (Sharon) Glenn of Des Moines, Wayne (Linda) Glenn of Albia and Ed Glenn and Wilma Kellogg of Albia; one sister, Wanda Vaal of Ottumwa; one daughter-in-law, Pat Glenn of Albia; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two children, Richard “Dick” and Charles “Chuck” Glenn.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday at First Christian Church in Albia; with Rev. Lynda Carlson officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak View Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Albia with family present from 6-8 p.m.
Memorials may be directed to the Monroe Care Center or the First Christian Church.
