OTTUMWA —
Beverly J. Hoffman Hasley, 79, of 1980 Albia Rd. died at 5:29 p.m. August 25, 2012 at University Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.
She was born March 10, 1933 in Ottumwa, Iowa.
She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at Ridgewood Nursing & Rehab Center for many years.
A member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, she sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her pets.
Surviving is her companion of over 50 years, Lester T. Hasley; her in-laws, Jerry and JoAnn Hasley of Ottumwa, Gene and Dee Hasley of Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nora Hart and her in-laws, Blanche and Frank Carter.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jane Martinez and Rev. Charles McCracken officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Open visitation begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church or Heartland Humane Society, P.O. Box 1149, Ottumwa, IA 52501.
