FAIRFIELD —
Earl L. Elkins, 43, Sauk Rapids, Minn., formerly of Fairfield, passed away Jan. 31, 2013, at his home.
Earl was born Feb. 9, 1969, in Coos Bay, Ore., to Gary and Charlene (Gobble) Elkins.
He grew up in Fairfield and spent most of his life in the Sartell and Rice area. Earl worked as an evening distributor for Gannett in Maple Grove, Minn., where he took a lot of pride in his work. He enjoyed fishing, vacations and spending time with his children.
Survivors include his significant other of 24 years, Bonnie Bernick of Rice, Minn.; daughters and sons, Erin Elkins of Sauk Rapids, Minn., Zachary, Katie and Nathan Elkins, all of Rice, Minn., John Bernick of Sartell, Minn., and Melissa Bernick of St. Cloud, Minn.; mother, Charlene Elkins of Fairfield; sister, Marsha Elkins of Fairfield; and nieces and nephews.
Earl was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. today at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home; with Rev. Ben Kociemba officiating. Burial will be at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Sartell, Minn.
Friends and relatives may call one hour prior to the services today at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids, Minn.
