OTTUMWA —
Donald F. Kennis, 86, of Ottumwa, died Jan. 1, 2013, at the Briarwood Health Center in Iowa City.
He was a longtime resident of Ottumwa.
He is survived by a niece, June Phillips of Cottage Grove, Minn.; five great-nieces and nephews; and nine great-great-nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Eugenia Hobbs Kennis; brothers, Virgil and Lawrence; and niece, Rhonda Pyle.
Cremation has been accorded, and no visitation or services are planned. Burial will be at a later date in the Ottumwa Cemetery.
Shrine Of Memories Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
