Mildred Gertrude “Gertie” Gibson, 86, of Lancaster, Mo., passed away on May 29, 2012, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Mo.
The daughter of William Clifford and Esther (Swindler) York, Gertie was born on Dec. 1, 1925, in rural Lancaster, Mo. On Sept. 25, 1944, in Olathe, Kan., she was united in marriage to Don Gibson, and to this union two sons were born, Mike and David.

Gertie was a very devoted member of the Orleans Church of Christ in Moulton while her health permitted.
