BLOOMFIELD —
Ilene May Trimble, 89, of Bloomfield, died Nov. 19, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
She was born May 27, 1923, in Davis County to John Arthur and Iva Ethel Daniels Lawson. She married Richard Lee Trimble May 27, 1945. He preceded her in death May 17, 1986.
Ilene was postmaster at the Coatesville, Mo., post office. She, along with her husband, also owned and operated Trimble’s General Store in Coatesville for several years. She was a member of the Monterey Christian Church and the Welcome Neighbors Club and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons, Richard (Ann) Trimble of Victoria, Texas, and Darrell (Paula Watson) Trimble of Folsom, Calif.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ronald (Letha) Lawson of Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; six brothers, Flavey, Arthur, Clifford, Marvin, LaVern and Donald Lawson; and three sisters, Reva, Faye and Mable Lawson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield; with Rev. Reg Higginbottom officiating. Burial will be at the Coatesville Cemetery in Coatesville, Mo.
A memorial has been established to the Coatesville Cemetery.
