John Puffinbarger, 55, of Floris, passed away at 6:35 p.m. July 19, 2012, at his home in Floris.
John David Puffinbarger was born on Jan. 7, 1957, in Fairfield, the son of Richard and Marie Puffinbarger.
He attended high school at Kirksville High School in Kirksville, Mo. John had been a heavy equipment operator for 30 years as a member of the Local 234 Operating Engineers.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Richard and Donna Puffinbarger of Floris; one sister, Ricki Cassill of Iowa City; one brother, Joshua Puffinbarger of Anamosa; and his beloved dog, Elizabeth.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today at Iowaville Cemetery near Eldon.
There will be no visitation.
