Danny Lee Howk, 63, of 149 S. Iowa Ave., died at 9:51 a.m. December 31, 2012 at his home.
He was born August 13, 1949 in Ottumwa to Lloyd George and Elizabeth Irene Kitterman Howk.
Danny was a Vietnam veteran, serving with the U.S. Navy.
Surviving is his brother, Rick Howk of Des Moines and a niece, Tara Davidson of Ottumwa.
His body has been cremated and no services are planned.
Inurnment will be in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to B.P.O. Elks Lodge #347 for Veterans.
