OTTUMWA —
Hava L. Smelser Statuto, 74, of Ottumwa, passed away on June 14, 2012, at Hospice House.
She was born July 23, 1937, in Ottumwa to Ernest and Margent Smelser. She married Michael Statuto.
Survivors include four sons, Michael Jr., Ernie of Cornwall of Texas and John and Joseph of Patterson, N.J.; two grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, June Dunlap of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings, Ernest Jr., Roderick, twins Rollin Rondo and Ronald Roy and Bernice Himes.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Shaul Cemetery; with Rev. Gary Shepherd officiating.
Open visitation begins at 10 a.m. today at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home with her family present from 6:30-8 p.m.
Condolences may be left with Carl Shepherd at the funeral home.
