BLOOMFIELD —
Carolyn Florence Weilbrenner, 68, of Ottumwa, died Feb. 4, 2013, at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
She was born April 10, 1944, in Muscatine to Reid and Lula Hill Buffington. She married Darrell Weilbrenner Oct. 29, 1966, in Iowa City.
Carolyn was a hairdresser for many years. She was a member of the Dunnville Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star in Bloomfield and Douds and served as Mother Advisor of the Rainbow for Girls for several years.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Sara (Chad) Ebert of Courtland, Minn.; two sons, Bob Weilbrenner of Janesville, Wis., and John (Tami) Weilbrenner of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Tyler and Ali Weilbrenner and Erika and Jenna Ebert; five brothers, Daryl and Les Buffington, both of Buffalo, Iowa, Paul Buffington of Columbus Junction, Benny Buffington of Winfield and Keith Buffington of Bethalto, Ill.; and two sisters, Virginia Barrick and Mildred Van Acker, both of Muscatine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Alan Buffington; and a sister, Judy Wise.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield; with Pastor Marvin Martin officiating. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday with Eastern Star services at 6 p.m., followed by visitation until 8 p.m.
A memorial has been established to the Dunnville Baptist Church or Hospice of Davis and Wapello Counties, in lieu of flowers.
