OTTUMWA —
Betty Jane Cosgrove, 54, of Ottumwa died at 5:20 p.m. Dec. 26, 2012, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born Jan. 9, 1958, in Ottumwa to Leo and Anna Elizabeth Cole Miller and married Gene Heckethorn. They divorced, and she later married Paul Cosgrove. Betty was a certified nurse’s aide at Good Samaritanan Center and Ottumwa Manor, did home health care and worked at Hormel, all in Ottumwa.
Surviving are her husband, Paul of Ottumwa; her mother, Anna Elizabeth Miller Laumeyer of Ottumwa; daughter, Patty Heckethorn of Ottumwa; son, Shane Heckethorn of Ottumwa; two grandchildren, Jacob and Jade Heckethorn of Ottumwa; two brothers, Jack Miller of Washington and Harold Miller of Ottumwa; two stepbrothers, David and Thomas Laumeyer, both of Ottumwa; three stepsisters, Martha Scharff and Nancy Laumeyer, both of Ottumwa, and Betty Smith of Fremont.
She was preceded in death by her father; her stepfather, Lawrence Laumeyer; four brothers, Allen, Donald, Chuck and Melvin Miller; and a sister, Patty Miller.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua; with Reverend Olen D. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, rural Keosauqua.
Visitation with family present will be from 2–4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 821 North Elm St., Ottumwa, Iowa 52501.
