OTTUMWA —
Clifford E. Hull, 87, of 1 Oak Ridge Rd and formerly of Agency, died at 7 a.m. July 20, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.
He was born March 14, 1925 in Lucas County, Iowa to Archie and Bertha Hupp Hull. He married Margaret E. Beaty on February 24, 1945.
A resident of Wapello County most of his life, he was a farmer, starting his own farm in 1952. He and his wife moved to Agency in the late 1980s.
He enjoyed hunting, gun smithing, and especially spending time with family and neighbors.
Surviving is his wife; two daughters, Kathryn (Dave Okken) Hull of Cedar Rapids and Ellen (Dean) DeVore of West Bend, IA; a daughter-in-law, Edith Hull of Ottumwa; five grandchildren, David Pratt of Fairfield, Doug Hull of Ottumwa, Sandra (Todd) Struthers of Waukee, Renee (Sam) Bricker of Salida, CO and Jeff (Shelly) DeVore of Joliet, IL and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tom E. Hull; an infant daughter, Carolyn Hull; an infant grandson, Joseph Pratt; two sisters, Vera Cook and Mabel Hammond.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Russell Cemetery in Russell, IA.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bladensburg Christian Church or the Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.
