BLOOMFIELD —
Cindy R. Doerscher, 52, of Bloomfield, died Nov. 1, 2012, at her home.
She was born May 2, 1960, in Bloomfield to Richard Lee and Carol Joan Dugger Hanna. She married her best friend and love of her life, David Doerscher May 25, 1985, in Bloomfield. They were married for 27 years. To this union, one daughter was born, Allison.
Cindy worked at Community 1st Bank in Bloomfield as a teller. She enjoyed helping her husband on their farm, cooking, reading, her pets and watching the sunset with Dave.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Allison (Dustin) Gonterman of Birmingham; a beautiful grandson, Carter David Gonterman, who is her pride and joy; two stepgranddaughters, Skyler and Mallory Gonterman of Illinois; her mother, Carol (Rex) Blackwell of Bloomfield; stepmother, Dana Hanna of Milton; a sister, Kyli (Trae) Kite of Keosauqua; and a nephew, Cree Kite of Keosauqua.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
A memorial service and gathering will be from 2-4 p.m. Nov. 10 in the 4-H building at the Davis County Fairgrounds; with Pastor Gary Axtell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Davis County Look to the Stars, the McCreery Cancer Center in Ottumwa and Good Samaritan Hospice.
Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield is assisting the family.
