OTTUMWA — Douglas Kirk Snakenberg, 58, died March 4, 2010, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C. May he be at peace forever.
A private service will be held honoring Doug.
Doug was born March 15, 1951, in Ottumwa to Dean Edward Snakenberg and Marilyn Jean (Workman) Snakenberg. He graduated from Independence High School in 1969 and worked in the construction field. Doug married Connie Rae Nelson of Cedar Rapids on Sept. 14, 1974.
Doug is survived by his father, Dean Snakenberg of Ottumwa; a brother, Gregory Snakenberg; and wife, Patricia of Davenport; his sons, Ryan Douglas Snakenberg and wife Abbie of Cedar Rapids, Blaine Kirk Snakenberg and wife Melissa of Marion; and a daughter, Lauren Shae Snakenberg of Rock Hill, S.C. He leaves behind three grandchildren, Colin, Jayden and Tyler, and his companion Teresa Vance of Rock Hill, S.C.
