Fairfield man faces multiple drug charges after traffic stop

FAIRFIELD — A routine traffic stop has led to multiple drug charges for a Fairfield man.

On Wednesday morning, the Fairfield Police Department made a traffic stop of Rafael Israel Taylor McAnally, 26, of Fairfield.

Based upon that stop and items found in the vehicle, Taylor was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor, and driving under suspension, a simple misdemeanor. Also, based upon items found in the vehicle, a search warrant was obtained and executed at his residence at 306 W. Broadway.

During the execution of the search warrant, several items were discovered that led to McAnally being charged with conspiracy to deliver more than five grams of ice methamphetamine, a Class B felony, drug tax stamp violation, a Class D felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Also charged with the same offenses was Daniel Diaz Gonzalez, 33, of Fairfield.

Both McAnally and Gonzalez are currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
