The Fairfield Police Department have arrested a man they allege tried to gain entry through a locked door at Fairfield Middle School.
Around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Fairfield police officers responded to a report of a suspicious male trying to enter the middle school. After making contact with the man, later identified as Clifford Eugene Williams, 36, school district staff initiated lock-down status.
Officers arrived on the scene and later arrested Williams for interference with official acts.
