The arraignment has been set for an Ottumwa man charged with attempted murder in a Selma shooting on Oct. 13.
Rusty E. Salter, 32, was charged with attempted murder, a Class B felony, and second-degree criminal mischief after allegedly firing multiple shots into the home of Randall Ray Ritz of Selma.
Salter’s arraignment has been set for 9:30 a.m. Nov. 7.
Randall Ritz was arrested for manufacturing marijuana and failure to affix drug stamp.
Randall Ritz’s brother, Richard Todd Ritz, 52, of Mustang, Okla., allegedly stepped outside of the house and “fired a warning shot in the air” with a .357 handgun.
Richard Ritz was charged with willful injury, a Class D felony, and assault (display or use of weapon). His arraignment has also been set for 9:30 a.m. Nov. 7.
Austin Lee Ritz, 29, of Oklahoma City, Okla., was also charged with willful injury, a Class D felony.
Salter is currently being held on a $25,000 bond in Van Buren County Jail. Randall Ritz, Richard Ritz and Austin Ritz have all been released after they each posted $5,000 bonds.
