OTTUMWA — Lt. Gov. Patty Judge will be in Ottumwa at 3 p.m. Monday at the city council chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 105 East Third St., to publicly recognize and promote local I-JOBS initiatives.
I-JOBS is a Culver/Judge administration $830 million investment program to rebuild Iowa’s infrastructure, create jobs and stimulate the state’s economy without raising taxes.
The city of Ottumwa and Wapello County are both recipients of I-Jobs funding. The city will receive $229,500 to complete improvements to the Fourth Street Entrance of City Hall and complete energy improvements to the structure. The county will receive $5,350,000 for the construction of a new Chillicothe Bridge and Rock Bluff Road Rebuilding Project.
