Vice President Biden heading to Ottumwa

OTTUMWA — Vice President Joe Biden will make three campaign stops in southeast Iowa next week.

Biden will speak at 9 a.m. at Bridge View Center Tuesday. Doors will open at 8:45 a.m.

He will speak in Burlington Monday afternoon, followed by stops in Ottumwa and Grinnell on Tuesday.

Biden last visited Iowa on Sept. 7 when he, his wife and President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, visited the University of Iowa the day after the Democratic National Convention.

The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for entrance. One ticket per person will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets for the Ottumwa event will be available at three Organizing for America offices starting at 9 a.m. Saturday:

  • 224 E. Second St. in Ottumwa
  • 59 E. Broadway Ave. in Fairfield
  • 201 High Ave. East in Oskaloosa
