Ottumwa Fire Department firefighters say while they can’t tell exactly what happened, it looks like someone’s tent burned to the ground Wednesday just a few yards from the Wabash walking bridge on the Des Moines River. A passing bicyclist on the trail system saw what looked like two full trash bags burning and called 911.
