Two charged with burglary

OTTUMWA — Two suspects have been charged after Wapello County Sheriff dispatch received a call of an intruder Thursday morning.

At approximately 7:30 a.m. Thursday, the sheriff’s dispatch received a 911 call that an intruder was inside a residence on 85th Avenue, northeast of Ottumwa.

Upon being discovered, the intruder fled the area by vehicle, accompanied by the driver of the vehicle. The reporting party entered their own vehicle and followed the suspect’s vehicle while attempting to maintain contact with the dispatcher.

As deputies attempted to catch up and intercept the suspects, they requested the Iowa State Patrol’s assistance. The ISP blocked the roadway at 20th Street and U.S. Highway 63 south of Ottumwa, where the two suspects were taken into custody by deputies and troopers approximately an hour after dispatch was notified of the intrusion.

As a result of the investigation, Darnall Lavell Robinson, 36, 208 E. Second St., was charged with second-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.

Tracy Lynn Worsham, 37, of Oskaloosa, was also charged with aiding and abetting second-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools as a result of the investigation.
