CENTERVILLE —
An Indianola man died Sunday in Appanoose County in a pickup crash, but authorities aren’t sure what time it happened.
The Iowa State Patrol says Caleb W. Johnson, 19, died after his pickup crossed the center line on S70, went into a ditch and struck a tree broadside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger, Kody W.J. Bellman, 19, of Centerville, survived and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Centerville for treatment.
The patrol’s report says the crash remains under investigation.
